Denizli is a city located in Turkey, it is an industrial city in the southwestern region. Pamukkale, a well known world heritage site, is also located in Denizli and attracts thousands of tourist each year due to the natural white terraces created by warm thermal springs. Denizli on its own is a beautiful city to visit despite its ‘industrial’ title. You can see the beautiful sky caught in harmony with nature. Despite Denizli meaning ‘by the sea’ this city is actually pretty far from the sea (check the map below for location) there is no sea in this city. The remains of the ancient city of Laodikeia can also be found in this area. In the 1st Century BC Laodikeia was one of the most famous and influential cities in the world. If you choose to visit Denizli you’ll be one of the millions of tourist that come each year. Did you know that Pamukkale Hierapolis is located in UNESCO, the World Heritage Site? Denizli is the Twenty-First largest city in Turkey, however, it is one of the best for history and natural wonders. Author,This article and images were provided by Ceyda Cınar
