With -5 degrees and snowy covered landscapes Riga was nothing but a winter wonderland. Riga is the capital and largest city in Latvia... The architecture that graced the sides of the streets was incredibly picturesque and mesmerising to say the least. The traditional backdrops of the city don’t take away from its bustling shot bars and cocktail points. (at cheap prices as well) The old town sets the bar for dazzling Instagram photos. Even in the freezing cold we managed to find a zoo and behind it sat a large frozen lake which was incredible in itself. With the extra historical side of Riga with that of concentration camps and war museums Riga does truly have it all. If the freezing cold isn’t really your thing wait till the summer to see unfrozen lakes and greenery rather than white layered gardens.
