The building is called Malokow-Tower. Here in Northrhine-Westfalia, we have an old culture of coal mines. Typically the coal-mine towers are just built of steel, but there where some unique kinds of towers which looked more dramatic. Those are the Malokow-Towers.
This one belongs to the "Zeche Hannover" and is located in Bochum near to Wanne-Eickel.
It´s in the centre of the "Ruhr-District" which we call in German Ruhrgebiet or Ruhrpott.
Today the "Zeche Hannover" is a Museum and part of the LWL Industriemuseum.
A really cool place to visit.
Oberstdorf is a small town located in the Alps. It is the most southern town in Germany.
I have travelled to Oberstdorf two times during summer and it is totally worth it! With my family, I flew to Munich and rented a car, then drove about 3 hours to Oberstdorf. From Munich, you can also take a train to the centre of Oberstdorf.
It all started in May of 2017 when me and my husband Nicholas got happily married. The following August I was getting on a plane and flying from the U.S to Germany. Never did I ever think I would have the chance to explore the world, and thanks to my husband I was getting that opportunity.
Picture 1: One of the many amazingly designed buildings in Dutch capital (Amsterdam). This is a throwback to my vacation in August 2019, where I spent 5 days in a cool budget hostel. As a matter of fact this was an opportunity to meet many other people visiting the place with all different purposes. For instance solo travellers, exchange students, researchers, thrill-seekers etc.
As this website has grown, along with its community, we realised that not everyone who travels has the time or ability to write an article. So to make the site more universal, we have created this space to allow people from all over the world to share their experience through media, no matter their language or background.
