The Long Man of Wilmington

Also known as the Wilmington Giant, is 235 feet tall. It was thought to originate from the Iron Age or even Neolithic period. However there are tonnes of myths surrounding the giant. Check out the video above for more information.

Poppy Appeal 2020, BT Tower
This is the view I see daily ! Although 2 miles away from me, the BT tower building really stands out. Most recently the messages displayed were "Good Morning" or during the lockdown "Hands, Face Space". So, on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday to commemorate the agreement to end be fighting of World War One, the BT Tower displayed this lovely message which I thought was different and beautiful. It really stood out against the fiery sky. Well done BT tower for upholding the tradition of what this particular day means to so many people especially at this troubling time in the face of Covid .

City of the North

There are many great northern English cities, but Newcastle has got to be my favourite. It's not a place you would go for your annual summer holiday...actually I take that back as it is on the doorstep of Northumberland, probably England's finest county: castles, coastline, nature, islands, cathedrals, never-ending history; and next door to the home of northern England's real patron saint, St Cuthbert who is “At Home” in Durham. Note: England should really drop St George (Turkish, No miracles, did not know England existed, and had a sketchy relationship to God) in favour of St Cuthbert.

The Hellfire Caves of West Wycombe, made famous by their sordid past, are a network of man-made chalk and flint caverns in Buckinghamshire, England,. The infamous Hellfire Club, made up of high-ranking members of society, noblemen, and politicians, engaged in pagan rituals, orgies, and black magic deep within the subterranean chambers beneath the sleepy village.
