The building is called Malokow-Tower. Here in Northrhine-Westfalia, we have an old culture of coal mines. Typically the coal-mine towers are just built of steel, but there where some unique kinds of towers which looked more dramatic. Those are the Malokow-Towers. This one belongs to the "Zeche Hannover" and is located in Bochum near to Wanne-Eickel. It´s in the centre of the "Ruhr-District" which we call in German Ruhrgebiet or Ruhrpott. Today the "Zeche Hannover" is a Museum and part of the LWL Industriemuseum. A really cool place to visit. Author,Blog written by Christoph who is part of the "Fritz-Project".
