Normandy

I went to France to see my son who is studying there. But my trip became a wonderful discovery: NORMANDY.

In the short distance between the hotel and the family home, we stopped the car several times to take pictures of the awesome landscape. Routes seemed like those in fairy tales, and the colours…. Oh, my god! Beautiful colours everywhere.

Also, you can find a castle or palace or old mansion in every corner.
We made a tour all over Normandy from south to north. Is worth staying in the centre, so you can visit everything in a range an hour to each point.
In the centre: there is a great natural park with beautiful little towns. Grandville, Christian Dior´s birthplace. Bayeaux and its magnificent cathedral, etc.

In the south: Mont Saint Michel. One of the wonders of the world. With beautiful fortification with a church extended over the centuries and a village that was born around it. The peculiarity is when the tide rises, the fortification is isolated. I recommend booking a local guide to know the whole History.

In the north: Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. Absolutely touching. You can see the different landing beaches by the Allied forces in World War II. Also, the German bunkers and holes left by bombs.

In summary: Worth visiting Normandy, It will remain in your memory forever.
