Saint Petersburg

Saint Petersburg is an amazing city, the pearl of Russia's cities. A brilliant monument of architecture, history and art. Located in the North-West of Russia it is around 700 kilometres from Moscow and close to the borders of Finland and Estonia. For the majority of the time it was known as the capital of the Russian Empire, however, now it is the second largest city in Russia.
A population of over 5 million people. Everything you come across here is surprising and stunningly different. A beautiful large river flows through the city which means there are many beautiful bridges. Cathedrals, temples, churches, built by famous architects are another of the cities attractions.  A large number of viewing platforms from which you can see the city at a glance. It has the largest number of restaurants in a single city in all of Russia, making it easy to find somewhere nice to eat. A variety of beautiful views which come in handy for street photography, architectural, portrait and other genre photography. The weather is always bearable which makes looking around the different sights even more enjoyable.

I live here and strongly recommend to all my foreign friends to visit this city. Take a look at some of the picture's I have taken and be the judge of how beautiful the city is.
